Kim Stephens is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with Supervisory designation. She has over 28 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations in both mental health and substance abuse treatment. Kim enjoys working with adults and adolescents, but has worked extensively with adolescents in both substance abuse and mental health settings. She developed and facilitated the first adolescent intensive outpatient program in the area and has collaborated with courts and schools.
Kim is passionate about building relationships and strives to create a positive therapeutic experience. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapies, taking an individualized approach to treatment. Treatment is based solely on the client's needs and incorporates a strengths-based approach. Kim is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and has flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
